Purpose: To assist GDX in coordinating the 6th Biennial Regional Trans Health, Advocacy & Research Conference.

 

Background: The Biennial Regional Trans Health, Advocacy & Research Conference hosted by Gender Dynamix takes place every second year. It is a networking, stock-taking and learning and sharing space in which activists and leaders, civil society organisations, practitioners and professionals, academics and researchers, policy-makers and policy-influencers, allies etc. come together to connect and reflect on the state of human rights advancements for trans and gender diverse persons in Africa.

 

It is a moment that seek to promote internal and external solidarity and action to advance human rights realisations for trans and gender diverse persons on a continent that often times is politically, legally and socio-economically hostile to its people, and more so LGBTQI+ people.
